“I don’t know if I can pay my bills this month”

Maldon & District Citizens Advice have told us that they’re running a free short course to help people to manage their money and make it go further.

People who complete all four sessions will receive a £40 supermarket voucher and a Cooking on a Budget Kit which includes a recipe booklet, and some cooking utensils.

There are four sessions in the course:

  • The first three will be in a small online group, over the course of a week, each for about an hour. You’ll receive some course materials beforehand, and if you’re not used to participating “virtually”, the team are very happy to help you get set up.
  • The final session will be one to one, and face to face if possible, at a time to suit you.

The course is free, and will cover making your money go further, reducing your bills, dealing with unexpected costs, maximising your income and dealing with debt. The final session will be personalised, to cover whatever you need.

Sessions times are flexible, to suit you. To find out more, please call Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Service on 0300 247 0014. They will ask for your preferred times, and whether you need any support to join the virtual sessions – and of course answer any other queries you may have. Then if you’d like to go ahead, they can book you in.

This service is being delivered by Citizens Advice, with support from the Essex Child & Family Wellbeing Service.
