Prescriptions

Dear Villagers,

Please order your prescriptions directly with the surgery either by:

  • Dropping off the repeat slip at the surgery
  • Ordering online with the surgery
  • e-mailing the surgery
  • using the NHS app

You can not order your repeat prescription at the pharmacy, unless you are set up for Repeat Dispensing.

It is important for people to order their prescription on time I would suggest one week before you need it.

Far too many people are ordering the day before and expecting their prescription to be ready the next day – this adds undue pressure and disrupts the pharmacy workflow.

Please order your prescriptions on time, surgeries usually require 2 working days to process your request and then for it to be signed and sent over to the pharmacy.

The pharmacy then requires a couple of days to print, order, process, check and bag up your prescription.

Help us to help you – order your prescription a week before you need it allowing your surgery and pharmacy enough time to safely process it.

Flu Jab Update:
The shortage of Flu Jabs is well documented. We have a further supply of flu jabs on their way. These are for NHS patients ONLY – over 65’s and Under 65’s at Risk and those working in Social & Health Care.

We do not have any flu jabs available for the Private Flu Jab service at present.

COVID-19 Vaccination Update:
There is some movement on a COVID-19 Vaccination being available possibly as early as December 2020 in the Community.
There is lots of planning going on and it will be the most vulnerable who will offered the vaccination first… more news to follow on this.

Thank you.
