Tollesbury Surgery: why are some appointments now online or by phone?

There has been news recently about face-to-face appointments at GP surgeries, and NHS Digital say that over half the appointments in July were face-to-face.

The team at Tollesbury Surgery say they do extra cleaning now between patients who are seen face-to-face, and they change any protective clothing. This takes a long time of course, so to make sure there are still enough appointments, many are now by phone or online.

The Surgery say they’d love to return to normal, and realise it can be frustrating, but for now, the online and phone appointments are keeping patients and staff safe, and enabling the Surgery to provide continued care and support to all of us.
